Patterson City Hall
Patterson City Hall is a five million dollar project located in what has been named "Del Puerto Plaza", Patterson, California. As you can see, the architecture closely resembles the original building on the site (The Del Puerto Hotel) and calls for some real ingenuity in building skills. This public edifice is in keeping with the palm tree lined streets and tile roof materials found commonly in the area.

Jerusalem Court
12,480 square foot office/warehouse project in north Modesto at 5272 Jerusalem Court. This includes the new home of Menghetti Construction.

In the bottom photo a concrete building slab is shown water curing for more complete curing and less succeptibility to vapor emission problems.

Oakdale High School Learning Center
The challenge here was two fold. One, it is on a very, very tight sight with high school students only several feet away. Two, we had over 90 days of rain delay days because of our unusually rainy winter season. In fact, it poured on September 21, 2005!

Despite these handicaps, we completed the project in November 2005.

McComb Youth Center
15th and O St, Merced California
This colorful building showing rounded roof lines and fortified support exemplifies the exuberance of youth and its many challenges.

This structure is unique. It was a hybrid pre-engineered metal building as the gymnasium and a wood framed structure for the balance of the building. As you can see, the roof is very complicated and was difficult to frame and sheathe. We gained a whole new appreciation for compound curves.

Ripon Community Center
South Locust and 4th St., Ripon, California
Showing the conservative tradition of Ripon is this traditional public center used for a multitude of events in Central California.

The Ripon Community Center was a very interesting project because the design joined the 50 year old wood framed hall with an approximately 25 year old concrete tilt-up structure. It was a very high profile job which evoked much civic pride. Considering that everyone in Ripon acted as an inspector and there were multiple design changes, it turned out very well. The center was actually used on the weekends during construction for Ripon events.

Paradise School Gymnasium
California and Pauline Ave. Modesto, California
The school symbol rides on one side of the multi-use gymnasium that is situated out in the ever disappearing countryside of Modesto.

This project turned out very well, although it was not without challenges such as the ability at the time to obtain the correct structural steel. Then we encountered floor moisture problems which we solved by using a special topical floor sealer. The administration was particularly pleased.

Ripon Animal Shelter
444 Doak Blvd. Ripon, California
As a collection point for many stray animals, this block structure incorporates many functional features such as chain link fences and easily washable surfaces.

Patience is a virtue and so we waited about a year for the local air pollution authority to grant a permit for a stationary incinerator.

Teel Middle School
The existing building had been remodeled several times. It was a challenge matching materials and being consistent so that the school administration would be happy. Our architect had to review several sets of remodel drawings to find out what showed and what did not. It was then that we found many things changed from the contract drawings. In the end, the school was pleased.
